Students learn at many different academic levels. Giving students different opportunities will help every student reach their personal goals. Technology can provide students ways to enhance learning and learning styles. Teachers can offer students different ways to submit assignments based on a student's ability to learn. Allowing a choice creates leadership while meeting the same criteria that other students are meeting as well. Adding technology into an assignment can increase a student's engagement throughout. A student can create an E-Portfolio to showcase their learning growth that can follow them throughout their educational journey. Differentiating allows students to learn more about themselves while also becoming self motivated workers. This can increase every academic year to help prepare students for life after high school.  E-Portfolios can help students track their academic growth but also allow teachers to have a better understanding of how a student performs. Teaching internet safety should begin as soon as a student uses a device. Many students know how to handle strangers in person but not online. Students are taught how to handle strangers in person but not online. Discussing online predators is something that needs to happen around kindergarten or first grade. Asking simple questions to the class can promote an interactive discussion. Interactive quizzes can also be given to reinforce information taught about online safety. Using real world examples might help students recognize an online stranger more easily. Video games and social media are platforms students will be able to relate to. Reinforce what is ok and not ok to tell online strangers. Birthdays, phone numbers, and addresses are just a few things not to tell strangers. Many students with attention-deficit disorders often feel misunderstood. ADHD is accompanied by order learning disorders most of the time. Students who struggle with this often feel overwhelmed at the end of a school day. A Learning Management System (LMS) can help students who are struggling in the classroom. A LMS can be summarized by four actions: 1. Tracking assignments and calendars, 2. Following teacher feedback, 3.Editing and rewriting, and 4. Writing practice using real world scenarios. This online system will help the students, parents, and teachers help the student succeed. Teachers can create a calendar or chart for the student to help keep track of assignments and upcoming due dates all in one place.  Students can submit work online and receive feedback online. The feedback will not be lost in a students backpack or at home. This will help a student continue to grow. Having a LMS can also help students with real world situations. Many school districts have implemented Google Apps for Education. This includes Google Docs and Slides. Having these resources helps promote positive behavior in order to collaborate on group assignments. This can be done in the classroom or at home. Learning how to use Google Docs and Slides correctly will not only benefit the teacher but also the students. Promoting group work at a young age will help students gain real word experience at a young age. This video is a step by step presentation of how to create a interactive lesson. Interactive lessons will help keep the students attention and help them retain the information they received.  By posting the interactive Google Slides online helps students review the information at home. This can also help parents get involve and assist their children in learning. Inserting Hyperlinks into presentations will also give students the opportunity to learn at home. Expanding the knowledge outside the classroom will help classroom learning

Changing a school or school system begins at the top. Without modeling changed behavior it is difficult to ask others to change. Changing a school culture takes awareness, persistence, immersion, and support from the community. Cultivating kindness needs to happen in the classroom but also online. Implementing Character Counts is a great way to start. Character Counts teaches students about respect, responsibility, and caring for others. Physical kindness is not enough in today's world. Digital kindness must be implemented. Digital Citizenship curriculum can be added to grade levels K-12 to promote responsible citizenship online. February is kindness month in certain school districts. Implementing a nationwide kindness month would help and benefit children throughout the country. Many age-leveled projects can be implanted to promote positive interaction while benefitting the community.  Traditional curriculum may not be sufficient as it has been in the past.
